Rules don't seem to mean much here when there is an attention whore troll with over 75,000 examples of violating the site terms. Please start the enforcement with banning that guy.
shareThe mods must be getting stricter. During the covid lockdown I was posting like 5 threads a day that were absolutely idiotic and I never got suspended.

shareHi all- Just to put a bookend on this thread, the crux of the matter here for me is that there are people posting politically charged threads with no consequences. Even if nothing had happened to me previously, this would bother me. Then add to it that I did have to face a consequence when I did nothing wrong, and it's doubly frustrating.
I will not say anymore about the recent politically charged posts, and actually had never planned to bring up the previous event with me. It was brought up in the context of consequences on this board.
Thank you to those of you who said kind things. It is the many kind people on this board who made me come back after that week of suspension. I'll keep an eye out and I'll come back if things start looking better. I genuinely want to keep posting with y'all.

Don't leave, just use the 'ignore' function on the trolls, it cleans up the board quite nicely!
shareLet the thread go where the thread goes. As long as the OP is not overtly political, it stays on General Discussion. If it strays into politics as the thread progresses, that's fine.
While we may not completely agree on this issue, I like you and I've always liked our interactions and look forward to more good interactions in the future.
