I want to live in that movie or TV house!

Name the movie or TV house you would most want to live in.

Me: Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen's dome-shaped house from Star Wars (pre-annihilation). I love her kitchen especially. I would like to sit in there and drink blue milk with Aunt Beru. It's cozy.

Ha!
I vaguely renember watching this show with my Nan a LONG time ago👍

Having a swimming pool is one of the dreams of my life but it hasn't happened yet. I'm not ruling it out though!

When I was a kid the Home Alone house for sure.

As an adult…any nice apartment in a major city would do it. McClouds apt above his antique shop in Highlander (1986) would be epic.

reply

Yes the Home Alone house was one of the ultimate movie mansions. It was grand.

I looked up that apartment from Highlander. Living somewhere cool like that adds to the coolness of the character.

"Robin's Nest" from Magnum, P.I. (the real series of course, not the modern remake, which I have less than zero interest in seeing). All the rooms shown in the main house are great, but I especially like the guest house that Thomas Magnum lives in. Plus, it's in Hawaii on a tidal pool beach.

reply

It's been a long time since I watched Magnum PI so I had to remind myself but that house is very nice and yes, living in Hawaii with all that beautiful nature around you would be very nice, too. I don't know why I couldn't remember the house. I guess I was busy looking at all the chest hair.

Starship Enterprise TNG era.

reply

I had to look it up because I'm not a Trekkie but that does look pretty fancy in a futuristic type way. You could sit in that fancy room with the skylights and write out your puns.

The Jarvis House in Friday the 13th Part 4. I love the secluded and cozy feel of it in the woods.

reply

I Googled it and can see why you said that. Cozy on the inside and beautiful nature on the outside. Good choice (minus of course the fact that a crazed killer was on the loose outside of it if it was part of that movie 😁).

reply

Maybe Wayne Manor.

Really all versions of it. From movies and TV (60s "Batman").

Big, beautiful private home with plenty of acreage.

and lurking beneath....

"All those wonderful toys"

Yeah, that would be a cool place to live.

reply

Hi friend! 😊 Yes that would be a cool place to live especially because it would also mean you are Batman. I remember watching the old Adam West version of Batman and loving to see the set of the underground bat cave.

Castle Grayskull (#He-man)

reply

Looks like a strong fortress, plus you'd have He-man to protect you. Or you'd BE He-man. Either way, it's a win!

reply

I would say to spend a couple of weeks at the elves home (Lord of the rings) would not be a bad thing.
The French House in dirty rotten scoundrels (1987) was also more than fine.
On Tatooine would be very hot all the time.

reply

Hopefully Uncle Owen invested in air conditioning.

reply

I am sure the Jawas did it for Beru and Owen for a reasonable price!
