She took Carole King's You Make me Feel (Like a Natural Woman) and made it into a soul-stirring masterpiece.

You should watch Aretha performing that at the Kennedy Center Honors for Carole King. It brought me to tears.

Have you ever seen that video of her being interviewed where the interviewer says a singer's name and Aretha is supposed to say something about that singer? If you haven't, she's trying to be really nice to all singers, but when Taylor Swift gets mentioned she goes, "uh... she's got nice dresses. Yeah, some nice gowns."
