Of all the monsters you've ever seen from various horror and sci-fi movies/TV shows, which one scared you most of all? Maybe even to the point where you jumped and/or averted your eyes?
For me:
As a child: Large Marge from Pee-Wee's Great Adventure
I was not familiar with the character you named as your adult fear, but I checked with my husband who has watched infinitely more movies than I have and he confirmed that he is indeed quite scary. He then went into detail about how he killed people, so I have now been educated on his scariness.
It's kinda weird, but I was sort of in the same boat as AndyKing's daughter when I was a kid. While my parents mostly shielded me from horror movies and explained why, evidently my brother and I were very brave kids, because not much really scared us while growing up.
In fact, I tend to shield my eyes from watching something on TV, not due to fear, but due my aversion to being grossed out. A good example would be the goblin king from the first "Hobbit" movie, or the Brain Bug scene from "Starship Troopers."
I shield my eyes when I don't want to be grossed out, too, but about the only thing that grosses me out on TV or in movies is people throwing up. And I'll tell you what it seems like every TV show these days has to have at least one person barfing! π€’
You too?! I can't handle it either. It's weird. I can handle quite a lot of violence and gore that's par for the course in many rated R films and TV shows, but if it's anything related to the human digestive system, forget it, I'm out.
THANK YOU! I knew surely someone else would find him terrifying. I can't even look at his picture. Mr. fourlemons thought it would be hilarious one night to show me his picture right before bed. He didn't think it was so funny when we had to sleep with the lights on that night!
