How Many Times Do You Erase A Thread You Were About To Start?

I do it sometimes, thinking "Ah, this is for naught" (after seeing many of my specific movie threads get 0 replies), or don't feel like a smart-ass answer, and I've noticed that despite the internet being my only place to communication, I'm trying to wean off... I know maybe there are sites that might be closer to my tastes, but I've been on IMDB (and many other boards) for 23 years and I'm like an alien. Even the comedy forums respond with "Never heard of him" and it kind of ends there.

I think I'm becoming addicted to all these communication sites, which is great since it's much easier than meeting someone in real life. I don't even know how people meet each other anymore. My friends who used to drink stopped after the anti-smoking laws and many other issues.

Ha. Just kidding!!!

Almost never. I generally think first about if a topic is interesting to me it may interest others to talk about and go from there.

But.....
Sounds like your are suffering from shut in-Ness. The way to fix that is, just go out. Find excuse to go do people stuff more. Cross paths, smile more,

If I need to get out more to be human, even if I hated sports, I'd go to a sports bar and watch some big game. I see immediate bonding with others happen there all the time. Someone scored, everyone cheers, high five strangers, even random hugging. To me it all looks like a good excuse for human contact and bonding. You even strike up conversation about the teams and players. It's like an idiots guide to socializing. Give it a shot.

I don't post as much in general anymore. It seems like there are more trolls now as well as over sensitive types who can't wait to find offence in something.

LMAO...WUSS.😉

I don't usually do it with a thread I start, but I do it with replies all the time.

Now that I think of it, I do that with replies more, too.. Part of it is "Do I really want to bump this up?"

Haha… same! I’ll be like “angry response angry response angry response… ah stuff it, it’s not worth it, delete delete delete!”

I consider you a very prominent and well valued poster here Bill. I admit that we don’t seem to have very similar tastes in movies and I often don’t know what you are posting about but that’s on me.

Your posts are well meant and intelligent, we could use way more people like you here.

Pals✌️
