Am I being racist?

I get really upset whenever I see other races making a career from dancing hip hop. Hip hop was created from the black experience. These other races don't know anything about being black. They couldn't care less about black people.

I don't see blacks in ballroom dancing. Does that mean that blacks aren't good enough?

Why is it that blacks are not accepted in other dance professions of other cultures but other cultures are good enough to be professional hip hop dancers?

I understand that there are some blacks dancing ballet professionally. Keep in mind though with ballet, a traditionally caucasian or Asian dance profession, only take the very BEST.

But it seems like with hip hop, anybody is good enough? I'm sorry but I want the very BEST dancing hip hop. Only a black person can accomplish that the very best hip hop choreography.

Does feeling all that make me racist? I hope not.😟

I don't listen to Darius Rucker. I have no idea what his talent is like. Although he never became a country music superstar on the level of male country music superstars like George Straight.

Country nusic fans are picky. They wanted to kick Faith Hill out of country because Faith tried to move into pop music and was trying to be an actress in Hollywood.

So Faith made that song Mississippi Girl. In her lyrics she explains to country fans that she is still the same country girl that she started out as.

Kind of how Jennifer Lopez made Jenny from the Block song.

You're making the wrong comparison completely. But since you brought up Darius Rucker as a country music star. Darius Rucker has 10 number one hits. George Straight has 60 number one hits. Can you explain why that is?

Racism is in ALL aspects of American society - directly and indirectly. Unfortunately.

In regard to ballroom dancing, black ballroom dancers were early influencers, but you and most people are unaware of this. Why? Black history and contributions are not given the same respect or acknowledgement. I linked information about them:

Racism can happen with biased judges who give lower scores to black contestants. Most racists are unaware of their own racism and much of it can be unintentional or unconscious.

Also, racism can be indirect. For instance, if funds are needed for travel, etc then Black dancers start at a disadvantage since slavery, Jim Crow and continuing disparities prevent them from the same opportunities to gain networth that whites have had.

They also need sponsors which could be harder for black ballroom dancers to find.

I doubt very much that those dancers wanted to influence the dance. They just wanted to do the dance as good as the race that created it.

The point is that Ballroom Dancing was influenced by both Black and Latin cultures. You should know this if you watch the competitions.

Is it Ok for black people to engage in White culture in your opinion? Like playing in the orchestra, playing Hockey, writing country music, etc?
If the answer is yes, but it's not OK for Whites to do hip-hop, then you are a racist. In particular an anti-White racist. And probably a black supremacist. Which is fine, as long as you're ok with Whites doing the same, White supremacy, White pride, etc.

I guess I will just have to keep repeating myself. The issue is not about banning non black people from dancing hip hop. It is about them never being as good at it as the black ones.

What does it mean to be good at hip hop? Like most black people would consider Eminem as one of the best rappers. Are you saying they're wrong that he can't be better then pretty much all of them because he's White?
