I can't fairly rate him as I have only seen 4 of his movies. Glory, Ferris Buelor's day off, Tower Heist, and Godzilla. Glory is obviously the best of those and judging from your rating TC, I think you never saw it. I can understand if you're judging most of his films in your rating cause he's mostly known for comedic roles.

I've seen all the ones you mentioned. He was fine in Glory but I feel they could have gotten someone better. I liked him best in Election.

6/10 he is ok in terms of watchability but every role is Ferris. See Glory as a good example where he plays a Civil War officer, it is like watching Ferris Bueller in uniform.

I think Election is his best performance because he's pretty much playing himself. He has such a wimpy voice and he can't do much with it.

I haven't seen that one, for me his style is perfect for Inspector Gadget and Ferris. Less serious roles and yes he does have a wimpy voice.
