☀️ I...🌬️

It was warm enough today that I opened multiple windows in my house. It's very windy, but delightful to get fresh air throughout the house. Ahhh! Mid-60s℉, almost unheard of for Minnesota in early March. We're experiencing lost winter this season. I don't mind.

High 50s here in the Lower Hudson Valley Big Sis!
I'm loving it. The rest of the week is forecasted to be fairly warm too!

I LOVE it:)

reply

That sounds great, and I’d love high 50s every day if it could. Today here it was in the 70s and I had to cut the grass, and that’s early even for Louisiana.

reply

Does your grass go dormant there in winter?

reply

Yes it does. Most of the grass here is centipede or st Augustine.

reply

Somehow, I never thought it did. One can learn something new everyday. 😀

reply

Lots of snow this weekend in Reno. Maybe you saw in the news snow storms in the Sierra/Tahoe area. We saw some of that action!

reply

Yes, I've been following that story. I just can't imagine how folks will deal with all that snow. Kind of scary.

reply

I saw a report of blizzard conditions with a possible 10 ft. of snow. Yeah, it raised my eyebrows.

reply

Whoa, Fahrenheit? We don't do that here.

reply

I know. The U.S. is backward in this way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

reply

centigrade and soccer is for sissy countries

reply

Thank you saying 'centigrade' instead of Celsius. My dad always said centigrade and that's what I grew up knowing. Heck, I don't even know when I first heard it referred to as Celsius, but I was well into adulthood.

reply

doesn't centigrade make more sense? anything below zero being negative

reply

Anything below zero is by definition negative! (I think you mean anything below the freezing point of water is negative)

Hey, honey, it's 23! What a beautiful day! just doesn't have the same ring as 73.

reply

Lately, I've gotten annoyed at folks who describe the temperature as "negative" five. We always called it simply "five below." There are also some who say "minus five." 🙄 Yes, I have my old fogie card...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Weird winter this year in Lakeland, Florida. There have been nights I’ve turned on the fireplace looking space heater due to getting in the low 60’s in the house. As the day wears on I’ve had to turn on the AC. I never open my windows. If I get chilled I put on a sweater. If I get too warm I turn on the AC.

I hate central heat so at night I shut the bedroom door, turn on the space heater, put my electric throw on the bed and my little fur baby and I are just fine. There have been a few mornings when the thermostat showed 61 so I do turn on the central heat just long enough to get the chill off.

I think you'd freeze if you lived here in Minnesota. Until a few days ago, my bedroom was around 45℉. I always sleep with the window open at least a couple of inches. Well, if the temperature is headed below zero, I probably won't open it. I really enjoy the fresh air and my duvet keeps me toasty. I think I sleep better when I sleep in a cooler room. I get it from my dad, I guess. Or maybe I'm taking after him the older I get. 🤷🏻‍♀️
