The best new movie I saw was Oppenheimer. But the best movie I saw at a theater this past year was Casablanca. I realized a few years ago that, although I knew the ending of the movie since I was a kid in the 70s, that I had never seen the full movie. So I waited until it was re-released at the theater last year to see it for the first time. I knew many of the famous parts of it like “Play it again Sam” but most if the story was new to me.
