What’s a modern trend you hate in TV shows and movies?

I don’t have any in particular but what do you guys think?

reply

Woke, obviously.

reply

I cannot answer this INGENIOUS OP-question, cause I'm not a "guy". 😭

reply

Okay, let me rephrase…what do you Ladies and Gentlemen think?

reply

Sorry, there's currently an overflow of questions. ☺

reply

Guys is for sure gender non-specific at this point right?

reply

Sorry, there's still an overflow of questions. 🙃

reply

I'm sorry, what?

reply

Some people missed you here...huge concern! 🚑
Though you were the whole time here.

reply

When is it you think Dramas were better?

reply

coreydude is a sock 🧦 and cannot think.

I'm not entirely sure about you. ☺

reply

True.

The main one I can't stand is when they make every character obnoxious as a way to incite drama, but especially the main character. I don't know why they expect us to want the main character to win when so many of them are insufferable for no good, plot-related reason.

The second one is not giving the side characters enough to do or only showing them in reference to the main one. The best friend of the main character should seem like they exist outside of the main character, without any connection to what the main character likes and is interested in, for example.

reply

Reboots. Time to come up with some new ideas.

reply

Woke, overused CGI, action scenes where you can't see what's happening, cheap-looking cinematography, mumbling actors without charisma, unoriginality.

reply

Stratego. 💂

I'll specifically make this post about what's on TV. Men are nearly always portrayed as brain dead idiots just so his wife, sister, or co worker looks smarter by comparison. In commercials you'll never see a straight white couple of any kind. All couples are either mixed race, black, or gay. We all know why as the creative people behind those commercials are either guilt written white liberals or insane racists.

reply

Do you only watch mid 90s to mid 00s sitcoms? That's an old trope, and sitcoms are dying.

I don't even see adverts anymore

reply

HARD TO BELIEVE ANYONE IS STILL FLIPPING CHANNELS.
