This might sound strange but I always fall asleep getting an MRI. When they do my brain and spine it takes forever.
shareJust this past Tuesday I had to have an MRI on my knee. Thankfully, it lasted only about 20 minutes or so. First one I've ever had. If I had to have a full one, I'd probably doze off. 🥱😴
shareBecause I don't like tight spaces I close my eyes before they put me in, and I just count my breathing to keep me still and calm, and yeah, I fall asleep.
shareI'm not crazy about tight spaces, either. I would find a way to deal with it if I had to be fully in the tube. I'd probably close my eyes too, as a way to deal with it. I don't think it would trigger anything like a panic attack, but I wouldn't like it.
The headphones they gave me didn't do much to muffle the sounds, and I could hardly hear the music. I could hear the tech though, when she checked on me.
I never get music. I also ask them not to talk to me. The first few that I had when I fell asleep they woke me up when the talked and of course I jerked. Then they had to do that part again.
shareNoooo! They warned me that they would check on me, so I was somewhat prepared. I wonder why you don't get music... If there was music, they could fade it, which would prepare you to be talked to.
shareI used to have to get gadolinium injected halfway through, so they'd let me know when they were pulling me out, but now I just tell them please don't say anything until it's done.
shareI had to get a CT scan recently and they gave me a warmed blanket. Had the procedure been longer, I can totally see falling asleep.
shareA couple of years ago I had, nearly, the same case. They gave me the headphones, I could hear some radio program and I think I felt asleep
shareThese days, I can fall asleep in front of the TV, as well as while reading. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
shareNowhere 😞
shareI do not sleep in public, that's asking for a mugging and a probable stabbing.
It's very important to never let your guard down where I work.
New York is very nice in a lot of ways but you cannot be a fool here, there will always be a threat or two and you must remain alert.
I am unable to fall asleep in an automobile, an airplane or a locomotive.
I no longer own a boat but I'd certainly not sleep on one of those either.
We kept guns on our boats back in the day, these people will rob you and shoot you for two bucks.
My wife thinks I'm crazy for keeping an aluminum bat and a long shank screwdriver in my car. This woman doesn't know that I plan on taking the bastard with me.

I can fall asleep easily about anywhere. My dentist said I was his best patient once when I fell asleep while getting a root canal.
But boats are a big one for me. On a long ride the sound of the engine with the chop on the water puts me straight to sleep.
I can sleep anywhere.
