💥 Crux of the helix

I had a minor crash on my way to an appointment this morning. I was rear-ended by a driver who obviously wasn't watching where they were going. I was waiting to merge on to the highway, looking over my shoulder at oncoming traffic and 💥. Thankfully, my Saturn must be a tank because the only damage was a small kink near my back bumper. Dang, it was loud, though.

The only injury I have is a bruise on the crux of the helix on my left ear from my head hitting the headrest.

I just have to say that it's a strange injury to have, but I'm thankful that's all it was.

Jeez, glad you are OK, some of these drivers are distracted on phones and such. It's dangerous, let's all be careful and follow basic rules.

Thanks. I'm just glad my car didn't have major damage and I still made it to my appointment on time. Whew.

A good lesson I learned as a kid driver was 'You stay alert, it's the other idiot that will kill you.'

Keep the eyes in the back of your head open Amiga, we share the roads with lots of dangerous dummies.

As long as I don't touch my ear, I'm fine. Here's hoping tomorrow brings no surprises when I wake up since sometimes you feel worse the day afterwards. I'm sure I'll be fine.

One of my first cars was a Saturn. It served me well for many years. Too bad they don't make them anymore. Fender benders are a pain in the ass due to the insurance procedures. It's happened to me twice.

We've had a number of Saturns in the family. Actually, we still have three of them. I'm with you in that I wish they were still made. I think GM made some big mistakes, including not promoting them enough when they cancelled the brand.

Agreed. I had to look up ear parts so I could correctly name where my bruise is. It's weird.

Thanks. I was amazed at how loud the collision was, and expected to find significant damage to my car. I'm so thankful it was nothing.

No. It wasn't needed. A small kink near my bumper is not big deal.

Thanks. I'm fine. I admit to being a bit shaken when I got to my appointment. Still, I'm thankful the whole thing was so minor.
