7/10. If John were still alive today, he'd probably say this was "rubbish!"
On the flip side, it's still better than the majority of pop music released in the past 20 years.
At the time they originally tried to work on it in the 90's, George reportedly had even harsher words for it.
shareI'm not surprised. I think The Beatles wrote more great songs than any other band, but this one probably wouldn't crack their Top 100.
It's too bad The Beatles never did anything with Julian Lennon back in the 80s/90s. Julian sounded so much like John (I actually like Julian's solo work more than John's). I think that was an opportunity lost there.

Sounds kind of average. Paul would have had a lot to do with it and his work outside of the Beatles has also been pretty ordinary. 5/10
