I'm thinking Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, James Bond, etc.

shareI think I watched the first couple of the UK version before I started watching the US version. I went back & watched the rest of the UK version after watching the US version, by which time I had been kind of spoiled by the US version. So I guess I'm partial to the US version.
Plus, I find Michael Scott more personable than David Brent as a character.
THAT IS WHY THE AMERICAN OFFICE IS AN EASIER AND BETTER REWATCH...SOMEWHERE DURING SEASON ONE AND DISTINCTLY IN SEASON TWO THEY DECIDED TO DIVERGE FROM THE BBC'S PLOTTING AND LIGHTEN THE CHARACTERS...IT WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE...AS IT IS THE GREATEST SHOW EVER!

Had a good think about this, and while I enjoyed my fair share of nerdable series, with Firefly likely at or near the top, the only series I ever got to the point of obsession with was Monty Python's Flying Circus and their movies as a youngster.

My vote goes to Kevin Philips Bong (Slightly Silly).
In fact, perhaps my earliest clear recollection of a moment of TV might just be Graham Chapman dressed as Dracula going to bite a woman's neck (Carol Cleveland?), his fangs wobble and fall out, and she says "Oh, you're no fun any more!" That five seconds or so of TV stuck in my head as just a funny moment (teeth falling out) with almost zero context for years, until I finally saw that bit again in the context of the show as a teenager. I have no idea how old I was when I first saw it, but know as a toddler I was watching Sesame Street, Mr. Rodgers, etc., but couldn't, and still can't, recall any scene with even that much clarity.
For a while the Twilight Zone and the Prisoner.
You have to train yourself to forget them so that you can enjoy them again in the future.
When I was growing up I knew original Star Trek quite well.
