School, would have been in year 8 (7th grade) at the time.

Only found out about it later on when I got home.

reply

Haven't you asked this question before?

reply

Yes. I think one year ago.

reply

At work. I'd just walked into the office.

reply

Yes.
We kept our work building quiet and calm during the evacuation, we just told the people that there was an emergency and everyone had to go home and hunker down. We made a calm and peaceful evacuation. NO panic from my crew, we were all scared and angry to be honest but we kept an attitude of 'WE GOT THIS.

That was a bluff of course, but when you are in a leadership role you have to go BIG and lead, you should treat the coworkers like brothers and sisters.

It took me an hour and a half to drive out of The Bronx nine miles to Yonkers. I bought a six pack of beer and a pack of Kools when I got back to my block. I watched the horrible news all evening and slept with my several favorite shotguns. We didn't know what the hell was going on but it never hurts to be heavily armed.

reply

Were you in one of the towers?

reply

No, I was up it The Bronx.

reply

At home, asleep, dreaming about being in a hijacked plane.

But I don't think it was a prophetic dream, I live on the west coast of the US and sleep with the TV on. All the shit went down while I was asleep, and the dream probably came on when my sleeping brain heard all the channels switch to.live news coverage.

reply

I sleep with the radio on(tuned to BBC news) and this happens frequently...I've definitely had some interesting dreams over the years!

reply

I wonder how many people do this, and start to think they're psychic or something?

reply

My favorites were the handful of dreams in which I was hanging out with Obama!

There's a Facebook post I once read where this one guy was sick and tired of his little brother always "borrowing" his stereo from his room. So the guy hatched an insidious revenge plot. He got a recording of sheep bleating in a meadow and made a looped cassette of it. The next time his brother "borrowed" his stereo, he waited until he was asleep, then snuck into his room. He put the tape in and played it on low volume. Then, every 20 minutes or so he would increase the volume, until it was pretty loud, and left it. The next morning his brother woke up really tired, grumpy and confused about why he dreamed about hundreds of sheep harassing him. This is an evil genius.

I was on vacation and had slept in. We turned on the TV right after the the first tower had been struck and like everyone, thought a small plane had accidentally crashed into it. We were watching when the 2nd plane hit and realized it was intentional.
