I was still on imdb when someone started advertising this alternative, I think it was the founder himself since he also mentioned the legality of MC

Same here. I was using imdb message boards and it was announced they were shutting down and someone mentioned Moviechat so I signed up right away.

It's a kooky system but I choose to stay, I like nearly all of the posters.
