I agree, but I think some people here are skeptical about the idea for some reason.

I like the idea of likes. Sometimes you have nothing to say when someone relies to you, but you want to acknowledge it.

We are unlikely to get any new features here, not that I care, all is well as is. A ‘👍’ serves just fine as others have stated. Welcome to MC, it’s a fun site.

As long as it’s just likes and dislikes I’m fine with it. If an upvote/downvote system that highlights popular posts, and hides posts with dislikes, then fuck no. People just use those to silence opinions that they don’t like.

I'm afraid the software is kinda old compared to places like Quora and Reddit. You'd need a really good programmer to implement such things, and we're kinda short on those around here.

I think that's just such nonsense. There's something immature about it. If you agree with something, why can't you just say so? Feels more supportive anyway.
