Have you ever met a celebrity before?
Was he or she nice or mean?
shareI've met a couple of writers you may have heard of, they were nice regular people. I went thrift shopping in LA with one, but that was a long time ago.
shareAn NFL football player (retired), an actress, and quite a number of many bands. They were all pretty chill and kind.
shareLots of people in the music industry; surprisingly mostly nice.
shareYes lot's of them, most of them are just regular people.
Most "famous" I ever met was James Cameron who was just a normal dude. Michael Bay was down to earth and normal too, and even kind of shy.
The only hothead egomaniac I ever met was Sebastian Bach, it was around 2003 or so. He was playing solo acts at dive bars and couldn't even sell out the venues, yet he was walking around and talking down to people like he was the fucking King of the World. Biggest douchebag I've ever seen in my life.
As a kid, met a few of the players for the Oakland A's at a signing event in the early 1970's. Sal Bando, Rollie Fingers a couple others. Reggie Jackson was supposed to be there, but had to cancel at the last minute.
Also as a kid met pro wrestler Ray Stevens a few times. His daughter played with my older sister on a girls softball team. He lived in my home town the last couple of decades of his life.
In the early-mid 90's met Joey Alves, the original Rythym guitarist for the rock band Y&T (long after he had left- he was a co-founder & played on their first 6 albums) He came by the grocery store I worked at after closing time looking for a co-worker of mine. Didn't know who he was until she told me. He was working as a cab driver & was very badly into meth at the time.
I have never heard of any of those celebrities before.
shareReally? You've never heard of Ray Stevens, the "Blond Bomber"? Big name in pro wrestling in the 1950's/early 1960's.
And you never heard of Rollie Fingers? One of the greatest relief pitchers in baseball? Part of the Oakland A's 1972-1974 Dynasty that won three consecutive World Series.
I wasn’t around in the 50s or 60s, I’m a 2000s baby. 🤣
shareYes.

Boring
shareTypical rootvegtables post🙄
I swear, the dude almost never engages in a serious conversation.
He’s been posting Wlcome to Mooseport in my weekly thread for a bout a month now.
Either he has a mental issue or he has the wackiest sense of humour ever. I came close to make him my 2nd person ignore here but he managed to save his face both times.
I’m pretty sure that’s where he’ll end up eventually though. Just a question of time.
The one and only, Tom Green. He was as nice as I expected.
