I've never been an extravagant person and always lean towards being frugal, but sometimes its nice to have nice things, right? I want to upgrade from my Citizen Eco-Drive and have been eyeing an Oris, but that's gonna cost a lot of cheese!
shareMy husband loves to buy the $10 watches sold on cruise ships - he wears them out in the yard and doing work around the house. He had one that ran for at least 4 years before the battery finally gave out. We still laugh about that - replacement batteries cost more than the watch.

Those watch displays on cruises are dangerous. People get a few drinks in them and make impulse buys haha.

shareWhen I was a kid/teen/young adult I was fascinated by the Day-Date model. Something about the day being spelled out seemed very special. In gold, of course. Now that I am on the cusp of senior citizen status, it's more than I want to spend, and I'd probably be afraid to wear the damn thing.
