shareI can't believe no one has mentioned Superman (1978), which is famous for its title sequence:

Off the top of my head....
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9spGH0YMkj8 - The greatest opening ever in my opinion.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WMiO5ckX8ac - I love this theme song and the idyllic family setting.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=06Nr65HZvlM - Another favorite theme song. I've always thought that once Sean Penn hit his 40s, he matured into a very handsome man. I never ever thought Sean Penn was good looking at all in his younger days. I always thought he was homely looking when he was younger. But looking back on this, he was quite beautiful here. I really like this opening.
I really miss these kind of movie openings.
The opening to the Dawn of the Dead remake was really intense. The rest of the movie didn't quite live up to it, but. it got off to a powerful start.
