"Gaslighting" is exactly the right word for it. This is a common experience I've had when interacting with the Wokerati. First, if you mention wokeness, some woke retard will inevitably come along and demand you define it. They do this because they know that it is a nebulous term that isn't easy to define, so they try to trip you up on the definition, this way they can claim that you don't even know what you're talking about because you can't defined it. Luckily, I've come up with a good working definition of "woke" so I always take these retards up on their offer. I explain to them that the term is nebulous and is an umbrella term for a constellation of ideas, but then I provide them with a clear definition. Once they realize that they are dealing with a thoughtful person making a reasonable argument, they then turn to gaslighting you, telling you that there is no such thing as cancel culture, forced diversity, or anti-straight white male sentiments in the media. They will claim there is no agenda being pushed. And finally, once you prove to them that all those things do indeed exist, they will resort to calling you a bigot, sexist, racist, homophobe, transphobe, etc. just because you don't want everything you watch to look like a rainbow flag.
This is the M.O. of the Wokerati... the lowest form of life... lower than pond scum.
Wokeness is cancer, it poisons everything.

It’s like clockwork. Either they’re working off a script, or these are the natural tactics of any deceiver. Either way, it’s entirely predictable. I enjoy dismantling their process while they’re doing it, and sometimes it’s fun to call out their dull tactics before they use them - that one really pisses them off 🤣
