Your thoughts on the singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette?
A solid artist though a tad whiny and is pretty much a one-album wonder.
She's actually currently touring!
She's also a fellow Canadian! 🇨🇦

Not exactly a fan, but whatever. Her songs don't annoy me.
shareThat's high praise to say a singer's songs don't annoy you. Lol.
shareI never have the urge to listen to her songs, never want to search them on youtube, etc. But when they play them on radio, spotify, I wouldn't get annoyed and change channel. They're... fine.
shareI would never own her music or purposely listen to it. But I think I rate her a little higher than you. I'd say "You Outta Know" and "Head Over Feet" are interesting songs. Better than standard pop songs.
shareI only know her from "Ironic," her biggest hit, #4 Billboard Hot 100. I just now took a quick listen to her other two US Top Tens, "You Oughta Know" and "You Learn," and they are not familiar to me. "Ironic" is also notable for the Lincoln Continental Mark V in the music video.
I also remember her on a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode. It seemed to me, hope I don't offend, is that she seemed like the kind of singer-songwriter Hollywood elites would fall over themselves for.

she's brave but also chickenshit
shareJagged Little Pill was the absolute shit back in the day and so was she. But I hugely disliked watching her perform because she's very fucking weird and spastic in a very unattractive way. And I wasn't crazy about her in interviews either she was just so pretentious. So, loved the album, loved the songs, listened to them a lot, hated watching her in action.
shareShe seems well articulate for her young age back then in interviews.
I like her better than Britney, Christina , and those "bubblegum" types.
Well I definitely love her music more than those trollops. I just don't like watching her in action or hearing her speak. Her music in that first album definitely hit deep with a lot of us young adult females.
shareNails on a blackboard and a dog yelping
shareI only know her from the Jagged Little Pill album which was really very good, not a poor song on it.
She did come off as pretentious way back when but selling 30+ Million records at 21 years of age would likely swell anyone’s head.
I’ve heard her interviewed since and she seems pretty normal, a bit charming in fact.
Jagged Little Pill is a great great album IMO. I'm not so familiar with the rest of her material.
shareI’m I have all her albums and have seen her in concert, so I like her.
shareI'm moving to Bournemouth and opening up a record store located near King Towers. I'll make a fortune!!!!
All I need is THAT one customer.
Lol. We’ve actually got a few decent second hand stores that I visit regularly. I have my wants list on my phone and can easily spend all day buying stuff.
shareI actually wanted to own a record store back in the day, but that was when people bought new records in their droves.
shareThe manpad (loft conversion) looks like a cross between a record shop and a comic shop.
