I tried it with a piano - whole different story.

Korean cinema, which to be fair has always been good, is currently producing some awesome stuff.
shareI haven't been following Korean movies lately. Some recs?
shareWhich genres do you like / dislike?
shareIn Asian movies, my top 3 genres are thriller, comedy and horror.
I like Fantasy/SciFi, but they are (or at least they used to be) very bland in Asian movies.
A Taxi Driver (2017)
Parasite's Song Kang-ho stars in yet another beloved film, this one about a cab driver from Seoul who unintentionally becomes involved in the Gwangju Uprising, a historical event that took place in South Korea in 1980. (Plus, it's based on a real-life true story, which makes it an even more compelling watch.)
The Handmaiden (2016)
A masterful movie from director Park Chan-wook is this erotic psychological thriller and romance film inspired by the 2002 novel Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. Set in 1930s colonial Korea and Japan, this movie follows the riveting story of a Japanese heiress and her Korean handmaiden, who's actually involved in an elaborate plot with a con-man to seduce the wealthy woman from her inheritance.
Space Sweepers (2021)
NETFLIX
Love sci-fi adventure films? One of the latest Korean movies from Netflix — and also touted as the first Korean space blockbuster — Space Sweepers is set in 2092 when Earth has become almost inhabitable. The story follows the crew of a space junk collector ship called The Victory, as they discover a child humanoid robot and embark on an epic space adventure.
Queued. Thanks for the recs. I'll watch them this week.
Space Sweepers reminds a bit to Planetes https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816398/
I don't think art is ever better it's all taste. As far as film goes, the quality of the pictures and the story's quality have always been separate in my mind. I prefer the older stories and some of the newer pictures. Watching and enjoying Make Mine Mink right now.
shareProduction is amazing right now, because of how cheap and powerful CGI has become. TV shows have better production quality than movies had only 10 years ago.
But production only gets you involved for a while. If they story / characters / acting is not good, production can't save it.
Fingers crossed 🤞 hope you enjoy 👍
shareHitler did nothing wrong.
shareI would say he definitely did something bad, but not something wrong. You know, in the karmic or other metaphysical sense;everything is the balance or the result of something else and all only what's supposed to happen.
shareIgnorance is Bliss. You obviously don't know history. Killing millions of people for no reason is most definitely wrong.
shareThe Sun sets later and the days are longer when we switch to Daylight Savings Time.
Wrong. The number of hours between noon and sunset is relative to the degree of the tilt of the Earth on its axis. There is naturally more sunlight during the spring and summer months in the Northern Hemisphere because that area of the planet is leaning towards the Sun. It's called the change of seasons.
The Sun hasn't moved... it's your clock that has been reset incorrectly. When you move it ahead one hour in the springtime you are merely getting up one hour earlier, creating the illusion of a "longer day" and "later sunset." The government has done a great brainwashing job with this DST nonsense. It's pointless and should have been abolished decades ago.
