William Shatner

What do we all think of him, cheers.

P. S. Does he still feel alright at 91 today? šŸ˜

reply

Canadian murderer.

reply

When did he murder Canada?

reply

When he showed up in a Canadian bikini.

reply

He's going to space.

reply

Iā€¦think heā€™sā€¦amazing!
Can youā€¦imagine!ā€¦a betterā€¦actorā€¦than him?

Canā€¦YOUā€¦ think ofā€¦ANYONEā€¦that couldā€¦have beenā€¦a betterā€¦Admiral Kirk?

Iā€¦cannot.

reply

I HEARD that. :D

reply

Shatner is so silly, itā€™s impossible not to love the guy!

ā€˜Weā€™llā€¦I loveā€¦you all..too.ā€™

reply

I agree. Check him out in Kingdom of the Spiders. Heā€™s so horny in the beginning that you think he might skip saving the town from the spider infestation.

Oh, and Devilā€™s Rain has been in my watch list for a while. I might bump it up. šŸ˜€

reply

I saw Kingdom Of The Spiders, what a silly acting mess that was! The spiders were very creepy though.

reply

Oh yeah, it was silly. I love all those ā€œanimals attackā€ films from that era though. Itā€™s always cool to see Woody Strode in movies too.

reply

Strode had a good face for the movies!

Grizzly was a great, silly ā€˜animal attackā€™ movie from the mid-70s, it had a fine low rent cast and no frills, fun stuff.

reply

I love that one also. Iā€™m a sucker for Christopher George and will watch anything heā€™s in. The only way they could have made it better, in my opinion, is if Linda Day George has starred in it also. šŸ‘

reply

One of my favorite George shows was The Immortal. He died too young.

reply

Iā€™ll have to look that one up.

reply

that women was incredibly sexy to look at.

reply

Mr George was a lucky man indeed.

reply

You missed the bit where he suddenly runs a bunch of words into one.

"Iā€¦think heā€™sā€¦amazing!
Can youā€¦imagine!ā€¦abetteactorthanhim?"

Shame on mešŸ˜¬

I think he's amazing, still working at 91, and very likeable! I love watching him on the History Channel Show Unexplained. And he was the PERFECT Captain Kirk. None of the other actors who have portrayed Kirk even come close.

šŸ˜Ž

reply

I respect his live life to the fullest attitude.

reply

Oh, good for you, šŸ‘.

reply

He's great. He made ham overacting into a cinematic art. No other actor can pull that off but Shatner. Kudos. šŸ¤£

reply

Dreadful actor, but he can be fun in the right role.

I have NO idea why he's had such a long career, when Hollywood shoves so many real talents out of the car on a country road.

reply

Obviously the iconic Captain Kirk made him untouchable. He could never do anything to screw that up.

reply

Actually, playing a REALLY iconic role can be bad for an actor's career, if nobody sees them as anything but the iconic role they become typecast, and their career suffers. Leonard Nimoy had that problem, but Shatner kept working and working, even though he's ... far from a great talent.

I consider his career to be even more inexplicable than that of Keanu Reeves! At least everyone likes Reeves.

reply

I'm not so sure he's a bad actor though. He over emotes and hams it up, but it always seems to work in the roles he plays. Maybe he's better than we think.

reply

As he's gotten older there have been a few roles where the hamminess worked, but how did he keep working for the decades it took to learn to act?

My theory is that he helped a studio head bury some bodies.

reply

His Star Trek legacy is set in stone, but personally I really liked his work in the series Boston Legal. He was hilarious and really gave that show its personality.
