I have a long list of things I avoid, and I see others share my distaste. From other posts above:
• "Eating eggs" Yes. They are okay when used as an ingredient in baking, but by themselves are disgusting, both the smell and the taste. The same goes for the accompanying bacon... strips of fat loaded with salt and fried in grease. Disgusting. Add fish/seafood, onions and anything on the Scoville Scale to the list of things you won't find in my kitchen.
• "Going to nightclubs" - "Casino's" - "I don’t like going to concerts or ballgames" - "Eating out" - "Public gatherings." Basically any crowded, noisy place. The worst are the "sports bar" restaurants with music and multiple wide-screen TVs blasting, loud conversation and obnoxious cackling, and uncivilized, rude behavior in general. One has to shout to carry on a conversation with the person next to them. And casinos are the biggest waste of money ever.
• "Fishing." I can't stand fish/seafood (see above), so why would I sit all day in some boat sweating, getting sunburned and bitten by mosquitos, trying to catch something I wouldn't eat? I never understood the appeal of hunting, either. These are activities I associate with the age of the pioneers back in the 19th Century.
I'll add summer to this list. I despise the heat, humidity, bugs, noise, and that idiotic Daylight Savings Time. I had a coworker who would count down the days... "Only two more months until summer! Only three more weeks until summer! Only six more days until summer!" I heard this almost every week ad nauseum.
The weather has actually been cooler than normal (so far) this year, and I've already overheard some complaints from other people in a store..."It sure doesn't feel like spring." "I can't believe how cold it is!" Well, just wait a couple of months and it will be July and August... the two worst months of the year. Maybe then they will be happy.
