This movie isn't what I thought it would be, and thats not a good thing. I was hoping for murder, guns, . I thought this was the ultimate cult movie, so far no.

If you're saying you haven't seen the Princess Bride, that is a crime. It is one of the top 100 movies ever made. You know how picky I am, it really is worth it. You can enjoy the romance or the comedy.

From the clips I sometimes stumbled upon on Youtube, it looks like Scarface is very similar to Godfather and Goodfellas.

I just don't think I would enjoy watching the "same" film 5 times (after Godfather I, II, III and Goodfellas.)

Just like maybe 40 years from now I wouldn't want to watch any more superheroes movies after I watch some Iron Man and Thor movies for the first time. They're all big hits at the time, but we have moved on from mafia movies.

Haven't seen The Irishman either. Probably never will.

I prefer The Godfather than Goodfellas. Problem with mafia movies is that they have basically the same set of characters (and the same set of actors playing them.)

I asked my teenage kids if they wanted to watch an 80s German war film with subtitles, that didn't really sell it but they were hooked from beginning to end. It had been a few years since I'd seen it myself it is still great.

They might like the WWII miniseries "Generation War." Very similar to Band of Brothers, but from the opposing viewpoint.

It is kind of sad, everyone who watched the masterpiece Donnie Darko these days for the first time watched the director cut - maybe even without knowing it.

There is a big difference between the two versions: the original version is superior and unique, the director's version feeds the viewer with a spoon and includes unnecessary scenes.

My guess you watched the director cut :(
