i pulled in to nazareth - the weight by the band
I read the news today, oh boy - a day in the life - the beatles
An unforeseen future nestled somewhere in time
Unsuspecting victims no warnings, no signs
Judgment day the second coming arrives
Before you see the light you must die
South of Heaven by Slayer
I don't believe in an interventionist God
But I know, darling, that you do
But if I did I would kneel down and ask Him
Not to intervene when it came to you
Into My Arms - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
good song. love the video

Yeah it’s a fantastic video too.
Interesting that Cave himself wasn’t happy with the finished product. Apparently he thought it was too depressing and worked against the uplifting message he was trying to convey in the song. Imagine something being too dark for Nick Cave, of all people!!
How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb
Without a soul, my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home
Bring Me To Life - Evanescence

"last time i was sober, man i felt bad.."
dire straits - heavy fuel
the fall - garden
The first god had in his garden
From the back looked like a household pet
When it twirled round was revealed to be
A three-legged black-grey hog
See what flows from his mushy pen
Garden

Woke up this morning with no way to hold my head that didn’t hurt. And the beer I had for breakfast wasn’t bad, so I had one more for dessert
Sunday morning coming down….
First song that popped into mind 😄
The Smiths - How Soon is Now
I am the son and the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
