horny movies

i was discussing voyeurs with someone the other day, & got into talking about how that's such an atypical movie. most mid-budget and higher movies are absolutely devoid of sex now, and have been for ages. at least, that's how it seems to me.

so i'm putting together a list of my favourite raunchy movies - either movies that have tons of sex (your handmaidens, your body heats...), or just have a scene or two that get my motor running.

i'm a bit stymied so far...

i've only got:

the handmaiden
mullholland drive (obviously)
y tu mama tambien

i'm sure there are billions of others i'm blanking on. tons of foreign stuff that has slipped my mind.

please name them!

Not the best movies ever but mainly for Sherilyn Fenn and Melinda Clarke

Two Moon Junction (1988)
Return to Two Moon Junction (1995)

And I would say Sliver (1993) as well for Sharon Stone

great, thanks! i'm gonna start a letterboxd list of raunchy films i need to see, so this is all great stuff.

i've only got 7 on my list of films i've actually seen so far. there's got to be so many more, but i'm at a loss to think of any.

Got it and I’ll be checking for updates.

i found a stream of fascination on youtube that looks pretty sharp, so i'm going to check that out tomorrow. and it looks like a few from your list are on arrow, so i'll definitely check those out too.

reply

That one is early 70’s art house / sleazy euro trash for sure.

I wanted to tell ya your review of Companeros was quite satisfying when you said “you would have to be an inhuman monster to at least not love it a little bit.” I approve your message. 😀

reply

thanks, & thanks very much for that recommendation. i'm now very much open to trying more westerns. maybe i'd been soured on them by seeing a few too many epic length leone films.

reply

i watched fascination last night and liked it a lot. i'm following up with the iron rose tonight.

arrow is giving me some solid content. switching out netflix for that service was definitely a major step up.

reply

I’m glad your enjoying Arrow. They seem to add new titles weekly, which I always look forward to.

Let me know if you ever get to check out Woman’s Prison Massacre. Stoppi from Beyond the Darkness (1979) is in it and I bet you’ll find it interesting.

reply

i'd like to watch it, but it doesn't seem to be streaming anywhere, unless i've missed it.

reply

It’s showing available for streaming rental on Amazon Prime. That is if this info is correct.

Benedetta (2021)

yes! thank you. i absolutely should have thought of that....i saw it only a month or so back.

reply

i am absolutely going to start using 'horny' as a tag on letterboxd so i'll be able to track stuff like this.

Paradise (1982) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084469/
The Coca-Cola Kid (1985) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088931/
The Lover (1992) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101316/
Embrace of the Vampire (1995) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109723/
note: the first and last films on this list are really bad; the middle two on the other hand are quite good

reply

it looks like the lover is on tubi, so i might try to give that a watch this weekend.

embrace of the vampire is dtv trash, & i kinda love it.

Definitely give The Lover a try. I hope you'll like it.
Btw, I own all four of the films I mentioned on DVD.
Another film with Jane March (she plays the girl in The Lover) that should be mentioned in this thread is Color of Night (1994).
I own that one on DVD as well.

Henry & June works every time.

reply

that's one i've always wanted to see. i don't think it ever pops up in the streaming world. i may have to break down and shell out for a rental sooner rather than later.
