Do people ever get TAUGHT how to enjoy and/or even APPRECIATE life?

In all of its uncertainty, toughness AND beauty as well as rewards? Whether in families, educational establishments, by law, morality, religion and whatnot?

And if yes or no - then why?

And what, if anything, do you think about it all, cheers. :)

This is the job of grandparents. That's what they're there for. But the breakdown of family structure has pretty much removed that from the equation for most folks. The old folks have raised their kids, they have all the wisdom, and they're barreling toward the cold jaws of death so they see very clearly what matters or not in life and how to enjoy it. And they love dispensing this wisdom to the sponge minds of the youth. Most of the centered people i've met in life, who seem to have things figured out and do the right thing, had strong relationships with their grandparents when they were kids.
