Which chocolate brand is "best"?
These are the "fancy" ones they carry at my grocery store and I'm looking for a gift:
Ferrero
Godiva
Lindt
Ghirardelli

I'd give them the Lindt, it's way more rich
shareI wouldn’t shop at a grocery store at all. Find a specialty confectioner’s boutique. Well -known mass market brands in almost every kind of category are, at best, mediocrities (Bose, Rolex) and you are paying for all the advertising and promotion every time you buy that brand. The very best of everything comes from brands of whom Joe Blow has never heard.
shareIt's all about preference. I like Ferrero the best because it tastes like Nutella (made by the same company that makes Nutella, so no surprise there). I also hate Lindt and most soap-textured pralines, like Guylian. You kinda have to go based on the taste of the gift-receiver.
shareMarabou.
shareOf those I'd go with Godiva. My overall favorite is Guylian, which our Walmart sometimes carries.
shareOh that's hard to choose, I've tasted so many different kinds:
See's Candies
Ghirardelli
Lindor
Nestle
Hershey's
Dove
I'd say Ghirardelli and Lindor would be your best bets. If you don't know what kind of chocolate the person in question likes, get one of those multi-flavor bags. That way, they're guaranteed to find something they like, and they can share the rest with friends and family. If you know this person, make sure you know if they like milk or dark chocolate. A lot of people are sticklers for that.
i love Lindt
but....... would not be disappointed with the rest
