Which chocolate brand is "best"?
These are the "fancy" ones they carry at my grocery store and I'm looking for a gift:
Ferrero
Godiva
Lindt
Ghirardelli

It seems like I'll go for Godiva. Thanks everyone. Extremely helpful.
shareI'm partial to Lindt over Godiva myself.
Just as an aside:
During the pandemic lockdowns, I learned how to make homemade chocolate from cocoa beans. (Versus a lot of people who learned to make sourdough bread during the lockdowns). It turns out really good. And I can vary the flavors by using beans from different countries.
The best compliment I got from someone I shared it with: "This is homemade chocolate? Then what it the stuff that Hershey has been selling us"
Lindt. I always look for their newest products whenever I'm in Germany.
But Côte d'Or has the best milk chocolate bars.
Give me a box of Cadbury Roses every day of the week over those other brands. Ghirardelli is overrated. Does Lindt do anything other than the different chocolate flavoured balls? Curious to know. Out of those mentioned Godiva is probably best just on sheer variety.
shareMMMMMM chocolate. I'm not familiar with Ferrero, the other three on your list, Godiva, Lindt, Ghirardelli, I don't think you can go wrong with any of those three.
But if you want something special, see if there is an independent chocolate shop in your town (a place that makes their own). Once only seen in large cities, it seems every medium-sized, maybe even small-sized, city has a couple of chocolate shops now.
Lindt is awesome! Ferrero is also great.
