He's obsessed with electricity (a new invention in 1820s,) tought it as somekind of supernatual / divine-like. And it shows in his later artworks.

Sounds very similar to Van Gogh, who was basically expelled from his church for having been perceived as too zealous with his Christianity.

I'll be watching Casablanca on Christmas Day, there are usually the same old 60's & 70's war films on TV over Xmas too, so I watch them if they are on, it's usually Great Escape and Escape to Victory.

Raiders of the Lost Ark too!
