The 90s was a great decade for movies!

And music!

You could also add "French Kiss"

I honestly remember liking that film. One of the few times that I honestly liked a RomCom that my older siblings 'forced' me to watch.

reply

This one is at least entertaining.

From your list, in order:

1. 12 Monkeys
2. Se7en
3. Jumanji
4. Mortal Kombat
5. Tommy Boy

Congo wasn’t a good movie and the original Mortal Kombat has aged horribly.

In Australia, cinema patronage peaked in 96, and has fallen ever since. I think there were many must see movies in 95 and 96.

LOL at Mortal Kombat. The games were great (especially MK2). But please. The movies were absolutely terrible. Some of the worst movies ever made.

reply

The games at the time weren't really cinematic as they are now. They were just punch 'em ups.

For a first time adaptation, it was pretty decent. Nothing mind blowing but it was ok. At least it followed the lore/main MK plot a bit better than this year's Mortal Kombat movie

What? No love for Showgirls?

Kid me loooved it, for reasons, mostly research purposes...

Don't forget 1994 too! The Shawshank Redemption! Forest Gump! Pulp Fiction! and Speed! Ahh what a great year for cinema!
