America (I would miss some of those really crazy European and Asian action thrillers and horrors though)

It's a choice I'm happy not to have to make

I’m with you, I really couldn’t pick between the US, the UK or Australia.

We talking new movies from now on, or old movies?

reply

New and old

Okay. Well, supernatural horror is my favourite genre, and whilst I think the UK has the best heritage/tradition of supernatural fiction writing, I'd say the US edges it as far as supernatural movies go. Can't tell what's to come, but on back-catalogue I go with the US. It'd be a damned shame though, losing all those wonderful UK, Asian and Spanish chillers.

America mostly because there is a mix of amazing movies and absolute shit. Sometimes I need to watch the bad ones.

America. More variety than other countries making movies.

america for sure.
would be a lot tougher to work out what my second choice would be.

england might be on obvious #2.
but canada has cronenberg & guy maddin and about a billion tax-break slashers.
germany has herzog & fassbender & a bunch of other stuff.
south korea & japan & sweden & denmark all would be in contention too.
