I remember this commercial when it came out in the early 90s. As far as I know it was original music for this commercial and so I guess technically it may not be classical but I really liked it.

This is probably one of these themes made ex professo for commercials, trailers and movies. You have companies that make them by dozens. They're not particularly innovative (the one in the Chess commercial is a copying Carl Orff style), but they're usually very professional. Check themes made by Two Steps From Hell, it's probably the most known company in that field.

I had a GF back in the day where I was babbling about how great the New Wave band XTC is, and her reply was "I thought that was kid's stuff" and put on George Handel's Water Music.
While it did not quell my enthusiasm for Pop Music, it did leave a seed for more earnest contemplation of the Classical World.
I try to dip my toes into it sometimes, and it's always there when I want to.
