Movies where you want to eat what one of the characters are eating.

Pulp Fiction. When John Travolta is eating his bacon and eggs in the last scene of the movie, the way he moves the food around with his fork and the and the way he jams it down his throat makes me want to go order some breakfast.

Some friends and I discussed getting together and dining on liver, fava beans, and Chianti while watching The Silence Of The Lambs. COVID got in the way and we never got around to it. Now that we're all vaccinated (at least I think we all are) I'll run the idea by them again.

You lost me at liver.

With the pint of brandy!

And my favorite food movie is the Japanese food comedy "Tampopo" (1985), which features a ramen shop. Leaves me craving ramen noodle soup for days, but the very best ramen made with spring water! And sole muneier, and ice cream, and a rice omelette with ketchup, but not sausages made from the intestines of wild boars who've been living on yams. There's a limit.

"Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" made me crave horrible little White Castle slider burgers... even though there aren't any White Castles in this area and I never liked burgers very much.

On an episode of 'Everybody Loves Raymond' Ray and his mother were on a cruise ship. There was a scene he was eating a seemingly infinite supply of raw clams or oysters out of the half shell. Would that I could be in a shellfish cornucopia situation like that. Would not want to be on a cruise ship though...ever.
