We did parts 1-9, Rogue One and Solo. My rankings [Edit]: -
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Rogue One
The Force Awakens
Solo
The Rise of Skywalker
Revenge of the Sith
The Last Jedi
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Good Daddy👍
I just had this convo the other day with someone...'Best SW movie'
Rogue One ranks very highly for me, it was a pretty perfect WWII film if made at another time (Beach stormings, espionage, tragedy...)
Tell us what your daughter thinks of BTTF, that was a fun series
We actually had an ‘in joke’. Every time one of the Generals made a mistake my daughter knew Vader would Force choke them and she’d giggle and say, “Daddy, if he keeps killing everyone, he won’t have any Generals left.”
I’ll let you know how BTTF goes.
My ranking is very close except move TLJ & TRoS to the bottom and switch TPM and RotS.
I love hearing about children seeing these for the first time. It makes me briefly forget my cruddy opinion of half of the franchise. Reminds me of unbridled joy.
You going to show her Mandalorian and the other assorted spinoff stuff? The Gendy Tartakovski Clone Wars shorts are excellent ... not so much the other cartoon of the same name.
I’ve got hundreds of films to get through first.
shareWE HAVE THE SAME RANKINGS...EXCEPT SOLO...I REALLY DISLIKED THAT ONE...BOTTOM OF THE LIST FOR ME.
shareI saw the original trilogy again recently and I have confirmed that Empire is overrated.
shareI find your lack of faith disturbing.
shareIn the words of Chewbacca: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=myhYNsRXYgs
shareI can actually do a passable Chewie impression.
shareWOW...THATS COOL...HAVENT WATCHED STAR WARS WITH MY DAUGHTER YET...WE DID THE FULL MCU THOUGH.
shareWe did that recently: -

Excellent!
We have a similar schedule: -
Monday-Thursday - Daddy, daughter time. I pick things that I hope she'll enjoy.
Friday - I'm in the pub, so that's my day of rest.
Saturday & Sunday - Mrs K joins us, so it's more family themed stuff.
DAMN YOU GET A DAY OFF AND YOUR WIFE ISNT A SELFISH HELL BEAST WHO TERRIFIES YOUR DAUGHTER?....CAN WE MOVE IN WITH YOU?🤔🙂
shareFriday is pub day (unless we're going away somewhere) - thems the rules!
My wife is the funniest woman I've ever met - she might kill you with laughter.
As for moving in, we've plenty of room, but I'd have to build another extension to house your media collection. Plus, there's no smoking inside, so that might not appeal to you, lol.
My son was 4 1/2 when I took him to see Star Wars in 1977 - he loved every minute of it.
shareWhen I watched it in 1977 everyone went aww! when the Jawas electrocuted R2D2. Without any prompting, over 40 years later, my daughter did exactly the same thing.
shareI remember how much fun it was to go to the movie theater to see this - pure escapism. It really is unfortunate that Disney got their hands on the franchise.
shareFortunately, my daughter was able to watch the whole series without any expectations or bias. Clutching her little green light sabre, she physically gasped every time she saw the Death Star. In the prequels, she was genuinely interested in how Vader turned out the way he did and she thought that Rey was really cool in the Disney films.
shareI liked Rogue One and I liked the character of Rey, just not the story lines.
