Worst death performance in film.

Does any bad performance of acting dead outdo this one?

reply

I didn't even have to look.

reply

How could an Oscar winner delive that performance?

reply

The shark at the end of Jaws: The Revenge was clearly killed by a tooth pick.

reply

I've never seen it but I hear that the film is a classic for all the wrong reasons.

From the Wikipedia website:

reply

I think they're going to need a bigger tooth pick.

reply

lol..

reply

In all fairness, it's much better than people suggest on the Internet.

At least it wasn't trying to be dumb like Sharknado and the such.

reply

Michael Caine (who starred in it) said:
I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.

reply

I love that quote😁
Caine skipped The Oscars that year (I believe he won that year for Hannah And Her Sisters) in order to film this hilarious nonsense

You gotta love Michael Caine, the guy is NO bullshit

reply

It's so incredibly stupid that it's somewhat entertaining😀

reply

I recommend Cruel Jaws (1995)

reply

i recommend Jaws the Sharksploitation edit. its a great fanedit. the first edit that really got me realizing how fun fanedits can be.

reply

I will look that up

reply

This isn't the worst, but I felt Natalie Portman's death scene in Star Wars: Episode III was pretty bad, and it was made worse by Anakin's overdramatic and laughable "Noooooo!" afterwards.

reply

yup. losing the Will to live when she had two children to protect was probably one of the worst moments in the prequels. Her funeral was beautiful but the death scene ruins it.

reply

Has there ever been a proven real life case of perfectly healthy people "losing the will to live" and just dying? (No starvation or anything obviously)

reply

Well they are aliens from outer space long long time ago, so maybe they have different biology.

reply

I don't remember her specific death, but I do remember laughing at the "noooooooo".

reply

Ripley's death in Alien 3 was always crap.

reply

And the reason for her "return" in Resurrection is even worse.

reply

Filmmakers can't make their minds.

reply

Came in here to say exactly that.

I love Marion Cotillard! The internet created a tidal wave from her death scene unfortunately, and we all know how many people like to play follow the leader on the internet. I think she even talked about that scene in an interview, and joked about it in a funny rap song she did with somebody, haha.

She’s so much better than this. It’s a shame if some people only know her from this film, which was a mess all around. I personally didn’t think it was the worst thing ever like a lot of people did. Not that I’m defending the scene, but I will certainly defend her talent.

Marion is a phenomenal Oscar winning actress, and anyone who has seen La Vie En Rose, Two Days One Night, and even some of her better Hollywood performances like Inception, Allied, and Midnight in Paris...she is just an incredible actress. She can say so much more with her eyes and facial expression than most actors/actresses can say with 10 pages of dialogue.

Oh well. She’ll always be one of my favorites.

And there is my rant about how Marion Cotillard is so much better than people will give her credit for because of this one scene. Haha.

reply

She's not bad the rest of the movie. But this one specific part, she is absolutely brutal. She plays it the way I would have done it and I'm not a good actor. She's great in Rust and Bone.

I've seen this clip so many times and had no idea that's what it was called. In other words: I've added it to my watchlist.
