How much is gas where you live?

Yikes - it's up to $2.80 per gallon here in SW Ohio. Got it yesterday for $2.60 at Kroger with my discount - but quite a jump from the first part of January when I could still find it under $2.

Last week when I drove up north for my 2nd Covid shot I found it for $2.42 along I 75.

I'm glad I get over 40 MPG with my hybrid.

$1.10/L

So that is about $4.16 per gallon? (Using 3.79 liters per gallon as a conversion)

reply

That would be pretty close I think. It might be a bit more if we throw in currency conversion.

reply

We're right around the 3 dollar mark in the Pittsburgh region.

reply

Man I wish we had it that cheap.

A gallon is about 4.5 litres.

Where I live it is £1.20 a litre (UK) which is approximately £4.44 a gallon and so again approximately $6.21 a gallon

reply

I thought it is 3.79 per gallon - am I wrong? I get so confused with metric conversions.

reply

Us gallons are different.

The imperial gallon (imp gal), defined as 4.54609 litres, which is used in the United Kingdom, Canada, and some Caribbean nations; the US gallon (US gal) defined as 231 cubic inches (exactly 3.785411784 litres), which is used in the US and some Latin American and Caribbean countries

reply

Both based on current google $1.40 to £1

US Gallons its about $6.21 a gallon after currency conversion (3.78 litres)

UK Gallons its about $7.55 a gallon after currency conversion (4.54 litres)

reply

$2.79 per gallon seems about the average right now in New York

Astounding really, as half of my friends are working from home and the highways are wide open with little traffic

Once again those Oil Mafia dirtbags are flexing on us

reply

I paid £1.26 per 1 litre of unleaded last week.

£20 got me half a tank in a 1.6 honda civic.

reply

Around 2.25 per gallon here in Louisiana.

reply

I think it's $3 or $4, but it's always been like that where I live, I'm in CA.

And it's going to get much higher since that asshole Biden canceled the pipeline. It used to be around $1.98 when President Trump was in office.
