Unpopular opinion: I don't trust people who have to have a snack during a movie.

I feel that if you always need it, it's like you need something to do to keep you from getting bored.

reply

I agree, especially with the folks who bring in smelly hot meals, like nachos and chili hot dogs. I don’t want to smell all that and listen to all that noshing when I am trying to escape into a film. Eat before or after the movie.

reply

I don't mind people occasionally eating something, but when you can't watch a movie without it, I question those people. Chili dogs are going way too far.

reply

Some people get really baked before watching movies and they get the munchies.

reply

Save the baking until after.

reply

It’s part of an intense movie experience!

reply

FUCK OFF!πŸ™‚

reply

Sorry. I don't make the rules.

reply

RULES...LMAO...IM BAKED RIGHT NOW...AS I HAVE BEEN SINCE 7 AM WHEN I WOKE UP...IM CURRENTLY WATCHING WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER...RULES ARE FOR WEINIES.😎

reply

as long as they are quiet

reply

So you have a problem with popcorn and candy?

reply

If you can't watch a movie without it, then yes.

reply

But that's part of the whole going to a movie experience to me. I'm not sure what this has to do with trust?

reply

I'm sure you are not alone in craving this experience, but some of us enjoy the essence of capturing the wonder of film w/o constantly feeding our maw. I like to find a quiet place in my mind, concentrate on the film and take time off from shoveling food into my face.
Sorry if it sounds snarky, but I'm disappointed when an inherently sedentary experience, while uplifting, is paired with an overwhelming urge to consume junk food.

reply

What Snepts said.

reply

They're amateurs.

reply

Worse. They're distracteurs.

reply

The next time I goto the theater I'm picking up an extra bag of Reese's Pieces.... just. for. you.

reply

First of all, enjoy because that's delish. Second, I'm okay with people doing it every now and then but some people refuse to watch a movie unless they have a snack.

reply

I generally do get something but it's normally gone by the time I get past the 45 minutes of trailers they have in every film.

reply

In the past i always needed a 6 pack to watch a movie, Cold beer made it better I believed.

reply

You're crazy. That's at least 3 bathroom breaks for me.

reply

the bladder of a tiny woman

reply

You leave Linda Hunt out of this!

reply

I once heard that movie theater chains would put frames of food and drinks into the pictures as sort of a subliminal message to make you hungry. I don't know whether that's true or not.

reply

Probably. They're sneaky bastards.

reply

Back in the 70's a theater chain got called out because they were piping the popcorn smells into the theaters.
