Guns N Roses vs R.E.M?
They couldn't be further apart. But who were the better recording artist in your opinion?

shareIt's a hard choice and would depend on your taste. If you compare their best albums - Appetite for Destruction and Automatic for The People - they are both A+ albums and recordings.
I would say Appetite for Destruction wins though, because it's the best rock album of the 80's.

I liked REM quite a lot but was not a huge fan
GnR produced one of the greatest albums front to back of all time
In terms of being a disappointed fan Guns takes the cake
Rampant drug abuse and out of control egos seems to have been their demise
Total idiots but at least we got some amazing music before they collectively shit the bed
*8 minutes after posting this Sweet Child Child O' Mine is playing on my garage radio (I nearly mentioned I'd hear GnR 3-4 times today on the radio and REM maybe once)
Guns n Roses π―ππ―π
shareI'm not a fan of either, but I find REM less cheesy.

shareI generally like rock, but GNR never really did it for me. Oth, REM were of a kind of music I wasn't really into, but with them it worked. On balance, Michael Stipe's haunting voice swings it for REM.
