You know the kind of movie I'm talking about. The one that you saw on HBO at 2AM 10 years ago that made you go "Wow, that was pretty damned good"
My two favorites have always been The Salton Sea with Val Kilmer and Phoenix with Ray Liotta
murder made easy - fun, goofy agatha christie-style thriller/comedy. only has 75 ratings on letterboxd, 153 on imdb.
red rock west - nic cage sort of noir thriller that i think never got a proper theatrical release. it got a lot of good reviews at the time which gave it a bit of attention, so it's not completely unseen, but it deserves more of a reputation.
rat film - weird social message experimental doc that is not like anything i've seen before.
krisha - early no budget film from the director of it comes at night. better than that film imo.
The Narrow Margin (1952)
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is the one, but no one's going to agree with me on that. Caught it almost 20 years ago on a local station I normally never watched where they played a really bad copy. It's been one of my favourites ever since.
