C is for Corpse. By Sue Grafton
shareAnything by Charles Dickens. Everyone should read at least one book by Charles Dickens.
I’ve read A Tale of Two Cities. It was referenced in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan so that motivated me.
shareI am way overdue to revisit and reread some Dickens. It's on my mind because I recently saw "The Man Who Invented Christmas."
shareI recommend Bleak House and Our Mutual Friend. David Copperfield and Little Dorrit are also in my top five, followed by A Christmas Carol. I also really love A Tale of Two Cities and Our Mutual Friend. I’m not very fond of Great Expectations, though.

That movie borrowed quite a bit from Moby Dick; for example, Khan's line "from Hell's heart I stab at thee" is lifted directly from Ahab's last words just before Moby kicks his ass. I don't know if that alone justifies reading Moby Dick, it's a long book. But if the Trek connection intrigues you, you might want to give it a glance someday.
The Looming Tower by Lawrence Wright. They tried to make this into a TV series - it didn't work. Great book.
shareSlaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
shareThe Last Werewolf by Glenn Duncan
Pretty much the ONLY werewolf novel you’ll ever need to read. It’s outstanding.
