My list certainly changes over the years, but in my current mood I'd say:

shareif you have any kind of fondness for melodic power pop along the lines of the dBs, big star, badfinger, you might really dig marshall crenshaw's debut album. just about every song on that record is a little gem.
you probably have heard 'someday, someway' at some point - it was a mid-sized hit, at least in the u.s., and still pops up every now & then.
