Why do people act like having kids and giving birth is a miracle?

It’s not a miracle, it’s a simple biological process and bodily function. Even the most basic organisms reproduce, it is anything but a miracle. Getting knocked up and becoming a single mother is not an accomplishment. Congrats on continuing the cycle of broken homes, poverty and mediocrity.

Yes, of course your kids are special to you and it’s the most important moment in your life. That doesn’t make it a miracle, why does spirituality have to be brought into anything that overwhelms people emotionally?

It's a miracle for me because the doctor gave me a 23% chance of getting pregnant and I had a near perfect pregnancy. My daughter is a miracle baby to me! And I am a single mother, but that's for a completely separate reason.

Why are you so bothered by people saying it's a miracle? Sincerely, I'm interested to know.

I’m not bothered really whatsoever by parents enamored with the experience of childbirth, that’s normal. I am however sick of seeing young girls who got irresponsibly pregnant by dead beats receiving a standing ovation when they post their ultrasound photo saying “meet Jaxson Colton 5/11/21 ❤️“

Life, reality and existence itself is a miracle but we're so used to it, it's lost it's miraculousness. As usual, you're looking at it all wrong.

I’m looking at it strictly from a scientific standpoint. I understand what you’re saying, but there really are no such thing as miracles by definition.

I understand what you're saying but really, science (of which I love) can explain only a tiny fraction of a fraction of miracles that exist within the vast, inexplicable miracle.
