When I was a teen many years ago I think it was considered upscale. Not anymore, it's mass market--and I must say addictively good. Try one!

Certainly one of the best. Belgium is also very famous for its chocolate.

But just like America used to mass manufacture lousy beer, and today there are many U.S. world-class craft beers, the same might be said for chocolate. Now, pretty much every medium size city has some handmade chocolate shop. We have at least four here in Reno that I know of. Fantastic stuff.

It's a weird Swiss chocolate bar that, if you view it from the ends, it resembles a triangle, which is a reference to the Swiss Alps.

The chocolate/toffee-fleck candy bar that uses a crazy shape to sell you an equal amount of air in the package. It is like the hollow Easter bunny of candy bars. Pretty good though. Quality chocolate. I don't like the aftermath of toffee in my teeth though.

This brings back memories. IIRC Milkshake was similar to Three Musketeers (whipped chocolate) but tasted different, maybe a malt taste added. I didn't remember Marathon by name, but I instantly recognized the lattice shape. Chocolate covered caramel IIRC.

I just bought a bunch of Ghirardelli 60% "Evening Dream" bars. I'm trying to eat mostly dark chocolate these days (healthier) but anything over 60% I don't like so much.

It's just another much too sweet, sticky mess. But the cherry flavour combined with the dark chocolate did separate it from the usual crowd.
