Led Zeppelin or early Van Halen?

Led Zeppelin. Van Halen was a fun band, some good songs and a perfect platform for the guitar wizardry of Eddie. As many have said already, they are not on the level of Led Zep.

Zeppelin by a landslide

Van Halen’s first couple albums were pretty good, but they were no where near as adventurous or experimental as Led Zeppelin. They mostly stuck with the same sound, while LZ branches out into different styles in their career.

Led Zeppelin and it's not even close. Van Halen isn't even a good band.

Really stupid question

Eddie Van Halen is innovative but a lot of the time that didn't translate to good songwriting especially in the David Lee Roth era. DLR also is a pretty average at best singer.

Led Zep for me although I do like both bands.

Original Van Halen is my favorite band of all time but I would think that Led Zeppelin is the most prestigious hard rock band.
