Summer's heat misery is upon us. Which face covering is the most breathable and keeps you from overheating? Tube scarfs or Valved face masks ?

The ones made of diving suits (scuba gear) are kind of hard to breathe in.

Gets my vote. Just finished making cotton masks for my daughter and granddaughters. Oh, and a couple for me, too.

Oh no, not me. I'm literally dieing from wearing a double layered cotton mask. I'm sweaty and miserable and it's not even summer yet. I ordered masks with 2 and 3 valves. I'm sure I'll be good now :D

The N95. It has a small vent on one side.

BTW, notice how they've changed the term from "mask" to "face covering"?? They're trying to make the overreach of oppressive governments seem more benign. Slick!

They're all breathable enough, unless you are asthmatic or a pussy (no offence, just difficult to tell online)...

The best kind in terms of breathability is probably the gas mask type since it covers the entire face and has a valve... But that's probably overkill if you're asking about this topic on a movie forum...

I wear the surgical type and the N95 type mostly (masks are compulsory in public where I am, it beats a lockdown)...

Well CheekyMonkey, I'm not asthmatic, so I guess I'm a pussy. lol

Actually until I had to wear a surgical mask (got one from a woman who works in a hospital kitchen), I never realized just HOW claustrophobic I am!!! I have had to make my grocery trips very short. I only grab a few things and get out. I can't stand a mask on for more than a few minutes.

I should have remembered that as a child I never went trick or treating because I couldn't stand a Halloween mask.
Our bishop opened our churches again. But it's a good thing he made attendance still optional. Some people fear the virus. I fear that I will freak out having to wear a mask for an hour. It would be embarrassing to run out of church yelling, "God help me!"
