Some actors hit the big time after 40 and really grew into their looks.
I think that Robert Downy Jnr and Anthony Hopkins are two men that are more striking and therefore better actors with a more mature face.

shareI think the amount of procedures she has had has been grossly overestimated by the press. Just look at that pic, she doesn't look stretched or trout-lipped or squinty-eyed like those who do actually go over the top with plastic surgery.

Ok, the before picture she had already had some done. But... that picture was taken in regular light without professional stage make-up on. It's a more natural picture. The after is after more procedures, lots of Botox, skin smoothing procedures, professional make-up, professional lighting etc. So it's really not a good example of the point you're trying to make. It's a cheat. Most, not all, but most Hollywood men age naturally without cosmetic procedures. I'm sure if one digs enough, you could find an example of a woman who naturally looks better older. The point of her comment is the fact that men do indeed age better than women. And these comments are coming to you from women.

shareYeah, and it does come down to personal taste too. I've always found older people attractive. Maturity can be really sexy. Not in a weird granny-fetish way, I just prefer faces that convey attractiveness AND wisdom, you don't tend to get that with the stars fresh off the Disney TV studios.

Yes, particularly because a lot of women get their break due to their youthful beauty, so their looks normally just fade.
Brad Pitt looked better under 40, as did Johnny Depp, both pretty boys.

I could sit here and type 20 plus amazing looking 45 year old male actors but probably three, 45 year old women. Jennifer Aniston, thats all I got. And to look that good she eat nothing, and exercises probably 4 hours a day.
