reply

Good list.

I just finished "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" last week, and I now adore it. I'm really bummed that I can't watch more right now. Probably the best show I've seen in the last 5 years.

reply

I'm more of a streaming junkie, if you want honesty. I don't watch mainstream tv much anymore. 98% of it is dogshit now.

reply

I used to when I was a kid. But when I was in high school I decided to get rid of my tv (I have a tv in my bedroom since I was like 5 maybe. My parents were, um... let's say tv enthusiasts) and get out more.

Since then I'd watch tv less and less and would rather go to the cinema. But now that I have wife & kids I get to watch tv again (wife insisted that we need a tv in the main bedroom, oh well.)

Usually I get bored easily with tv shows so not many shows I actually finished. The ones I managed to finish are only

Game of Thrones
Chernobyl

I'm starting to watch The Witcher last night. I think it's a keeper.

reply

No. Only movies. I used to watch TV but I hate getting invested in a show only for it to get cancelled. Also I hate watching a show that I love, but then there are seasons worth of mediocrity. I'd much rather watch a movie. At least I know there will be an end and if there are bad parts, I don't have to sit through it for episodes or seasons.

reply

That was a lot of words

reply

I'm trying to think of current shows I watch...hmm
here goes;

Ray Donovan
The Handmaids Tale
The Sinner
Mindhunter
Ozark
Animal Kingdom
The Last Kingdom
The Expanse
Fargo
The Good Place
The Boys
The Walking Dead (on and off)
YOU

Big Little Lies
Homecoming

Mad Men
LOST
Justified
GOT
Orphan Black
In Treatment
Enlightened
Bloodline
The Affair
Fringe
True Detective
Black Mirror

reply

I highly recommend the Mandalorian it's a great show you will love it if you are a Star Wars nerd like me.

reply

I don't really think so. I mostly watch on streaming services and I prefer the limited series to long on going series as I get bored. The only on going shows I'm watching currently are
The Good Place
Lucifer
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Jack Ryan (didn't care for season 2 and probably won't continue)
Killing Eve
The Umbrella Academy

Not current shows
Fleabag
Crashing
Elementary
Chernobyl

That's about it.

reply

I watched the first 2 season of Fleabag and it's an okay show, I don't think it should have won the Golden Globes for Best Show this year over Maisel BUT still it took me I'd say 3 episodes to get into the series.

reply

I love both those shows. Fleabag just really resonated with me and I had no problem with it winning.

reply

Eck I just didn't think it was that funny. Love British humor but it wasn't for me. I like it but nah not as good as Maisel.
